MPS has responded to a Cabinet Office consultation, which sets out the initial principles that would underpin a Public Service Ombudsman (PSO).
The Government is proposing merging the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO), the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) and the Housing Ombudsman into one single entity. We are keen to ensure that any new Ombudsman is underpinned by the principle that the process should be fair to all parties.
